Tejas Storytelling Festival

At the Texas Storytelling Association has their annual festival in Denton. The festival is for March-April 2009 at Texas Women's University. One of the goals of TSA is to nurture budding storytellers. Currently we are looking for those young tellers mainly between the ages of 6-16 years old. They will be invited to tell stories along with our professional storytellers during the festival.

Fall is the time to begin selecting and working on a story to try out for one of the coveted positions beside our professionals. A VHS videotape or DVD must be postmarked on or before January 17 (December submissions are encouraged) in order for selections and arrangements to be made in time. DO NOT SEND VHS-C, MiniDV, Hi8 or 8mm. They will automatically be disqualified.

Submission requirements should be sent to Shelby Smith, P.O. Box 101, Spurger, TX 77660 (NOTE NEW ADDRESS)
