Saturday is Kids' Day at the Festival

and join us for FREE story concerts and workshops for kids and their parents.


Kids’ Day Activities occur Saturday, March 10, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. all around Quakertown Park. Start at the Denton Civic Center, and then follow kids and workshop leaders to age appropriate activity areas.

Family Concert:
McKinney Street School Show and Tell
Fun for everyone from 4 to 104!

Listen to great stories for the young and young at heart by Beth Horner, Laca Bridges, Gary Whitaker, Nancy Simpson, Mark Babino, National Youth Storytelling Torchbearer Phoebe Beckelhymer, and Emcee Sue Kuentz.

Youth Workshops:

1. Stories, songs and fun for children ages 3-7 with storyteller Laca Bridges and author Jan Peck.

2. Storytellers Mark Babino and Gary Whitaker devise wonderful ways to make storytellers out of our youth 8-14.

Pizza on the Patio
Kids and their parents meet on the Civic Center's west patio for pizza, drinks, and cookies. (Parents who prefer a box lunch may place their order at the registration table before 10:45 am.)
