Aneeta Alex

Ten-year-old Aneetta Alex from Brandenburg Elementary in Irving considers herself smart and a hard worker. Her family is always telling her to “work hard and study a lot.” She took time off one time though to hang a snake around her neck!

Tionne Grady Fuller

Tionne Grady Fuller, eleven years old, attends Staley Middle School in Frisco where she told her story at the Frisco Storytelling Festival. She considers herself funny, smart and very outgoing. She comes from a loving family that enjoys each other on the weekends.

Tuesday Kissinger

Tuesday attends L. A. Nelson Elementary in Denton and is ten years old. She considers the best thing about her is her red hair. Tuesday enjoys playing and reading with her younger sister and loves storytelling.

Garrett Smith

Garrett Smith comes from W.S. Ryan Elementary in Denton. This creative nine year old plays football, basketball and baseball. If you have a minute, ask him about his interesting encounter with a road runner.

Jackson Sawko

Jackson Sawko from W.S. Ryan Elementary in Denton tries his best in everything he does. He considers himself a good person and loves to play sports and music. He won’t be telling his paddleboat story at the festival, so you might want to ask him about it.

Keith Kibby

Keith Kibby from Wester Middle School in Frisco is becoming a seasoned storyteller. He has told at the Frisco Storytelling Festival, the National Youth Storytelling Showcase in Pigeon Forge and at the National Storytelling Festival. This will be his third time on the Texas Storytelling Festival stage. In his spare time he plays sports and trombone in the band.


Meena Subramanian

Meena is 12 years old and in 6th grade at Creek Valley Middle
School. She loves to talk and make people laugh. This is Creek Valley's first year to introduce "theater" as an elective for 6th graders and she’s so glad they did because she loves it.

Journey Poklikuha

Journey is eleven years old and receives her lessons at home. She loves playing with her dog, Shade, listening to music or working on the computer. She considers herself very outgoing and interesting.



Tandem Tellers
Kody Jones

Eleven year old Kody Jones attends W. S. Ryan Elementary in Denton and is one half of a tandem telling team. In her short life she’s have several adventures, including a near shark attack and shaking hands with a monkey. She thinks the best thing about her is that she is sweet and sensitive.

Caley Kubieck

Caley Kubicek, attending W.S. Ryan Elementary, is the second half of a tandem telling team. She says she has had several interesting encounters with animals and enjoys playing with her dogs and shopping. Caley knows what it takes to be a good friend, good listening.
